Public Invited to Adult Education
Career Fair March 12
In today’s changing workplace and economy, new career and job
opportunities are becoming available to people. Adults in the
community, as well as students, may now consider some career
changes that lead to new and better jobs. Northeast Alabama
Community College will provide the community a chance to
consider some of these career options with an Adult Education
Career Fair to be held on campus on Thursday, March 12, 2009.
“We welcome anyone in the community to be with us,” stated NACC
President Dr. David Campbell. “We will have someone present to
explain all our career options, as well as those to provide
information on financial aid, admissions, and various other
college services.” Campbell noted that Northeast provides
academic transfer programs leading to most any kind of job
requiring a baccalaureate or professional degree. “At the same
time there are now many excellent jobs that can be obtained
through a certificate or associate degree, especially in
technical fields,” Campbell added. “Many of these programs can
be completed in a relatively short period of time, particularly
the certificate programs.”
Information in career fields provided by NACC will be presented
at the fair in areas including non-credit certificate programs,
certificate programs, two-year associate degree programs, and
transfer degree programs. A browse session and informational
meeting will begin at 9:00 am with representatives from each
area of interest. This event is open to the public and free of
charge. This event will be held in the Workforce Development
Building on the Northeast campus from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Director of Event Planning, at
