Northeast Yearbook Staff Busy on Next
Edition
The Northeast Alabama Community College 2009 Yearbook Staff is
busily working on the next edition of Backroads. Laura Rankhorn,
representative with Walsworth Publishing, was on campus recently
meeting with the staff and yearbook advisor, Joan Tucker.
“We at the Backroads yearbook are committed to producing
an annual that not only captures the events of the year, but is
interesting and fun to read,” said Tucker. “We have a great time
working together, and I encourage people interested in writing,
photography, art, or design to join our staff, where they’ll not
only make lifelong friends but get valuable experience that
might help them eventually land the job of their dreams.”
Staffer Betsy Griffin added, “I think the yearbook is very
fulfilling. It’s lots of fun, but it’s also a lot of hard work
and you really have to be dedicated to it. But in the end,
seeing the finished product is very exciting.”
The yearbook consistently is a state and national award winner.
It is produced annually by students enrolled in Mass
Communications classes and is provided free for students who
attend NACC for two semesters.
For more information on the yearbook, contact Joan Tucker at
